Should
I wait for my car to sink before I try to get out?
According to the experts, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Most cars will float for a few
(1-4) minutes. As soon as you recover from the impact, get your seatbelt
off (either unbuckle it or cut it if it is jammed) then open the window.
If your power windows work, great, use them. If not, break the window
with your LifeHammer, and swim out. DO NOT WAIT FOR THE CAR TO SINK.
How do I use the
LifeHammer? Is it easy to use?
If you can swing a hammer, you can use a LifeHammer to save your life.
All you have to do is swing the LifeHammer and make decent contact with
the window. The specially designed tip is designed to do the work.
Will my LifeHammer
work on the front windshield?
Absolutely not. A firemans ax will barely work on a front windshield.
Windshields are designed to be extra tough. Use your LifeHammer only on
side windows.
What if I have
tinted windows?
No problem. The glass will break, but most of it will stick to the tinting.
Once you have shattered the glass, use the LifeHammer to sweep away the
sheet of tinting and broken glass.
Whats the difference between the Orange LifeHammer and the Brushed Silver?
The color. Thats all. They are designed to perform the same task.
The Silver LifeHammer is simply for people who prefer a more stylish look for their car. The Safety Orange LifeHammer by far outsells the other
colors. (We think it would be the easiest to find in case of an emergency).
Is this is the
same tool Ive seen in the news?
Yep. The LifeHammer has been featured nationally on shows like The Today Show as well as locally here in South Florida in both The Miami Herald and in the Sun Sentinel. It has also been mentioned and featured on South Florida
Channels 6, 10, & 51. Additionally, it has been featured in dozens of other news outlets throughout
the country and around the world.
Is this a tool just in case I drive in to a canal or other body of water?
Absolutely not. The LifeHammer can be used for a number of situations.
If you are ever in a front or side collision and your doors are jammed,
use the LifeHammer to get out. Same thing for a rollover accident. Sure, here in South Florida and many other parts of the country, The LifeHammer would
be an essential tool to have in case of a water related accident, but
it can definitely come in handy in other situations as well. You can also
use your LifeHammer to help others if you ever witness an accident and
someone is in need.
LifeHammers cost more than center punches.
Why?
Because they do more. LifeHammers were designed to save your life. Center
punches were designed to help carpenters
then someone discovered
that they also break glass. If you have a center punch, great. Put it
in your tool box where it belongs. Your life is worth a few extra dollars,
isnt it?
